Recent Fires - Registration for FEMA and SBA Assistance

Greetings Los Angeles Unified Families,

We are committed to continue supporting impacted families and personnel following the recent fires in Los Angeles County. In partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA), Los Angeles Unified is opening four sites where District families and personnel can register with these agencies before the deadline of March 10, 2025.

How can FEMA and SBA assist impacted families?

FEMA:

  • Register with FEMA to assess if you may be eligible for resources.
  • FEMA personnel are available to assess survivor needs and provide assistance.
  • They offer resources from the federal government, including funding that may be eligible to receive direct deposit into your bank account to help you recover after the disaster.

SBA:

  • SBA personnel can help with submitting applications and answering questions about the SBA Disaster Loan program.
  • These loans provide low-interest financial assistance to renters and homeowners, and businesses affected by physical damage and financial losses.

FEMA and SBA personnel will be available at the following locations on March 6-7, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to assist with registrations and answer any questions.
